Network+ Certification

What is Network+ Certification?

Network+ is a testing program sponsored by the Computing Technology Industry Association (CompTIA), that certifies the knowledge of networking professionals.  This test is administered by NCS/VUE and PrometricTM.

Earning the Network+ certification means that the candidate possesses the knowledge needed to configure and install the TCP/IP client.  This exam covers a wide range of vendor and product neutral networking technologies that can also serve as a prerequisite for vendor - specific IT certifications.

Novell accepts the Network+ certification exam in place of their Networking Technologies exam for all Certified Novell Engineer (SM) (CNE) candidates.

Intel accepts CompTIA certifications.  Intel now awards transfer credit to individuals who are Network+ certified.  Network+ certification is being accepted in lieu of Intel's Technology  Essential exam towards the following:  Intel Certified Integration Specialist (ICIS), Networking Infrastructure Track and Intel Certified Solutions Consultant (ICSC), Solution Design Track (Network+ and A+ are both required).

Lotus accepts Network+ as a certification that meets the networking competency requirement for Lotus's CLP Domino Messaging Administrator R4 certification.

3Com Corporation and WestNet offer a Net Prep curriculum, which is mapped to Network+

Cisco Networking Academy curriculum prepares students for Network+ as well as the CCNA (Cisco Certified Network Associate) certifications.

Why did CompTIA create Network+?

A group of companies came together to create the IT Skills Project.  This committee was formed to identify, classify and publish skills standards for networking professionals employed in three types of organizations: information technology companies, channel partners, and business-government firms.

The task force committed the Association to defining the job tasks of network professionals through sound research.  The job analysis, completed in November of 1997, was used as the foundation for developing the industry-wide certification program called Network+.

The companies that originally came together to fund and develop the program, the Network+ Cornerstones include:

3Com Corporation
Compaq Computers
ComputerWorld
Element K
ePresence
gtslearning
IBM
Intel
Lotus
Microsoft
Novell
US West
Wave Technologies

Who may take the test?

Network+ is open to anyone who wants to take the test.  There is no specific requirement, except payment of the fee.  A typical candidate would have A+ certification or equivalent knowledge, but A+ certification is not required.

The Network+ test is live throughout the world in English.  Network+ is now available in German, French, and somali.

Listing Site Updates

Under one of these subheadings, it's a good idea to list recent updates to my site so that visitors, especially return visitors, can check out the new stuff first. For example, I could list the date and a brief description of the update.

I could also list updated news about my site's topic. For example, if my site were about a particular sport, I could discuss the outcome of a recent competition.

I ask allah make u happy ,, hassan ismail mahammued

Another idea for my home page's text is notifying visitors about the enhancements I put on my site. For example, I want visitors to sign my guestbook or fill out my survey Form E-mailer to answer questions about my site, my business, or my site's topic.

Need some extra help building your site? Here are some topics that may be helpful.

Customizing and Personalizing My Site

I might not want a large amount of text on my home page if I want to guide visitors toward my other pages. Instead of text, I can add photos or interesting links. One of the first things I would want to do is choose a template that reflects what my site is all about. Colors and themes are a great way to reinforce the message and purpose of my site.

Behind the Scenes of My Home Page

Even if I don't put much text on my home page, it's a good idea to include hidden tools that will help me promote my site, so people other than my friends and family actually see it. For example, I could add meta tags, which are hidden codes that allow search engines to find my site. I could also install stats and a counter so I know how many people are visiting. If not many are visiting, submitting my site to search engines will guide more traffic to my site.
